Homework from Mrs Anderson
Students may work on their Chinese Culture Powerpoint (Slides) projects at home via google classroom at home if they have access but it is not a homework. They will be given enough time to do it in class. But for those that want to spend more time making a game like "Jeopardy" or "Who wants to be a Millionaire" they are welcome to work on it at home if they choose to do so. :)

APRIL BOOK REPORT--DUE MONDAY April 25th:
This month we are doing Science Fiction. Science Fiction books are similar to fantasy, BUT, instead of magic the unknown is explained by science.
They are books that have gadgets, inventions, time travel, space exploration, future societies and other science. Some great examples are; A Wrinkle in Time, N.E.R.D.S series, The City of Ember, Star Wars,The Giver, or Michael Vey.
There are also books like The Hunger Games and Divergent but students must have parental permission read these books because of violent content.
The book must be at least 100 pages and close to the students reading level. Please find and check off the book by Friday, April 8th.
This book report will be an oral book report. The students will have 1 ½ to 2 minutes to convince us to read the book. They need to tell us a little about it to get us interested but not too much to give it away. Then they need to tell us why we should read the book.
Students should give us reasons and details just like they do in persuasive writing. Students will sign up for a time on present their book the week of April 25th.
They will be graded on how well they persuade the class, how clearly and understandably they speak and how apparent it is that they actually read the book.
Let me know (before the due date) if you need help!
